Head Start Philosophy
Children enter the world ready to learn. C.A.R.S. Head Start
program helps children build on this natural ability. Head Start
children are confident, curious, eager to learn new things and ready to
succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. Each child is an individual with
unique talents, skills and needs. Head Start respects each child's
individuality and honors his/her cultural, ethnic and family
heritage. C.A.R.S. child center curriculum focuses on the interests,
learning styles and developmental needs of each individual child and helps
each child to develop self esteem, self-help skills and socialization
skills.
Parent involvement is the most important part of Head Start.
Therefore, Parents have decision making power and are involved in all
parts of the program. As a Head Start Parent, you will be offered
many opportunities to become involved in your child's education and will
be encouraged to develop family goals.
